Creating your own Home Staging Economy

A few days ago, I sent 2 faxes to my private small business coaching clients. They were 2 of a 3 part sequence. The sequence was written by one of my mentors and it dealt with his experience of going to a gambling town with a friend for a 2 day break.

The chaos that ensued was out right hysterical but the whole point that my mentor was making was that it was a weekend that taught him to create his own economy. Instead of towns going "belly up" and people down grading and standing in the unemployment line...why didn't they look for better opportunity as they saw things closing down?

The same is true with the real estate economy right now. We have been watching it take a downhill slide for the past 2-3 years and yet some people insist on continuing to do things the same way they have always been done. Well, if it isn;t working,then it is time to try a new approach. Does that mean you can't stage or sell homes anymore? Heck no! It means you need to look at what your customers want and need and position yourself in such a way that it solves their problem. That way, you will have more work than you can handle.

The key to creating your own Home Staging economy is simply looking around and seeing what is missing and filling the gap. How do you do that? You listen to what people are saying. What is the problem? They can't sell their house? Well, you have the solution. They are in pre-foreclosure, well, you have the solution so they don't have to foreclose? They don't have any money? Work out a deal to get paid creativly. Whatever the problem, MARKET the solution and you will have created your own economy.
